The hand hammered copper caps are beginning to patina nicely. a nice verdigris is beginning on the tops. The copper caps will augment the copper elements of the Herons' House. The 250 ft. south wall is  in "scratch coat" condition. When the Herons' House is built, the wall will be colored in the palette of the house   and the pilasters will be faced with ledger stone rock.

Sheeawhanna Creek is in bloom! The creek has been in or a little over a month. The Koi are doing great, the bio-filtration (75 ft of earth and rock and sunlight) is performing as expected and the plants are soaking up the nitrates from the fish waste. Sheeawhanna creek grows in beauty each week and becomes more natural as the plants begin to mature.

What a grand day!

After five months of design work and engineering, June 16th we submitted our plans for permitting with the City of Carlsbad.  We expect a 4 to 6 week permit review period and then Herons' House will begin construction.

We are so pleased with the project team and all of the issues and decisions that have been made. Great suggestions have made the house a little bigger than first planed, but well worth the redesign.
