“Rejsegilde”
December 11th Herons' House celebrated the "topping out" of the highest rafter in the house.
Rejsegilde is a Danish tradition that honors the workers and craftsmen that are building the house. Each of them has a name tag and they are the guest of honor at the event. The tradition is that if the builders think the party is substandard little tricks are played for the rest of the construction of the house.
Julie and I are amazed at the progress as the house really takes shape. The next step is the roofing, installation of the doors and windows and installation of the NANA wallsystems.
